I was introduced to a few new online applications today for building out sites easily. Pretty interesting and I wouldnt mind getting peoples feedback on whether any of these would be helpful in making life easier.

Online Database Applications - looks real clean.

Created an account in http://creator.zoho.com/ and tested but was not able to view the videos.

Found that everything will run on zoho server and the application is built nicely but felt it could have been made much more user friendly while creating forms.

It uses ajax for most of the functions for example to add, edit, sort etc from "Leads" section.()

This application mainly targets to those who need to create forms with lead management without any programming knowledge and are limited to the features they have but agreed that whatever they did are up to the expectations.

http://wyselabs.com/marketinglab/viewto ... ?f=8&t=476  aint i a spoil sport  . I had listed some of these Online CMS sometime back. I did some searching to get the article where there was a good review of these sites but alas am not able to get it :(. Try doing a v/s between the sites mentioned in that or do a search of them together in google, wyselabs pops up :)

To cut short you can find some info here http://www.everybodygoto.com/2007/07/23 ... -reviewed/ and http://www.creataplace.com/ seems to be new. I will post the orginal review of the sites if i can find it again. Until then

The interface looks good and it does the add/edit/delete functions without refreshing the page.

Programmers can learn from this how the admin should function/navigate. Here just content area is replaced without loading the banner, sidebar or footer.

I also liked the way editing or records is done from the manage page.

Beginners may find difficult to program like this but can know the right kind of functionality.

We'll implement it in the admin area of one of our upcoming projects and will look for feedback.

Jay, I will have to tell you, this is awesome. Apart from creating such innovative ideas, we may need to sit together and discuss how to spread the word to the team. As you know, right now WyseGuyz Team is working on OnLine POD project Phase I and if we had come across this a day before, we would have implemented some of the ideas into our admin section as well.

Now, what really irks me is looking at the said "Manage Portfolio" section I am surprised how much similar (functionally), if not identical, it is to one of the module we have developed for OnLine POD. So what is going on in my mind now? That we have "wasted" our working hours, "reinventing" the wheel. What I mean to say is that, if we could have reused those codes, we would have saved atleast 6 hours of work.

Well, all said and done, we seriously need to sit together and discuss about the proposed code library.

Code library guys!

As I have said int he past... whenever a new feature is added, you should have a public page that we add teh feature for viewing by a sales and development team! It would help tremendously sir!
