Google’s Updated SEO Advice is Almost Correct

Postby Lekha T » Tue Jul 02, 2013 11:23 pm

Here’s what Google used to say about how to improve rankings in their search engine results:

“In general, webmasters can improve the rank of their sites by increasing the number of high-quality sites that link to their pages.”

Here’s what they say today:

“In general, webmasters can improve the rank of their sites by creating high-quality sites that users will want to use and share.”

There's some good in this, but why this new advice is, almost, but not wholly accurate :?: :?:

To know why, read @ http://moz.com/rand/googles-updated-seo ... t-correct/ :)
“It’s about using the right tools, with the right triggers, within a proper internet marketing framework”

Thanks Lekha for posting this, I was going to post this :) The ultimate aim of Google is to reduce spam & make websites genuine. Here Google is again giving importance to On page. As SEO person we should be looking into all the aspects of the website promotion.

Yes Christy, we have more work in onpage now. The concentration should be given on relevancy of the site. It helps the users get the apt information they seek for. So it is the quality sites we should build not the quality links.
