Hot Tips to find good Long Tailed Keywords

There are so many ways to spot good long tailed keywords. Here are a few juicy sources that are worth looking at. Where do you find what people are interested in? Why not ask Google ...

Using Google Wonderwheel

Go to google.com (Note: it does not work for google.in)
Type in your keyword

Look at the left hand column. Can you spot Wonderwheel?

People keep complaining that keywords are competitive or that we don't have the tools to get low hanging fruit - low competition keywords. We tend to forget that all this information is available for free.

Lets take a Look at Google Instant and how it is one tool you want to use always while hunting for good keywords.

Once you have turned on Google Instant, type in the keyword which you are targeting.

Notice how Google suggests various keywords. Did you know that these keywords are what people are typing in everyday ? This is killer information for us because we can use this information to write articles, Press Releases, Generate videos, prepare video articles, Social Bookmarking using these keywords...

Make a note of these keywords and check out the competition. You will surely find some keywords with minimal competition. It is very easy to rank for such keywords. Usually writing one article and submitting to ezine articles or creating a hub or squidoo will do the trick.

Take it a step further, use the wonder wheel trick mentioned above to uncover some more.

In most cases, the top 10 terms provide a lot of traffic, but not nearly as much as the total terms after the top 10 or 20 most popular. Add up the terms that refer 1-3 visits during the month, and chances are, they will add up to more total visitors than the top terms.
