The arrival of new meta tags and the removal of meta keyword tag would affect the page ranking of billions of sites in the web which was previously developed. right?

Hi Ben,

The keyword tag was ignored by Google since these tags were used by site owners to stuff keywords/fool Google. The new tags are which are mentioned in the blog will help us to improve the visibility of content mentioned in the page in search engines & different social media.

For example:
<meta property=”og:title” content=”Awesome blog”/>

<meta property=”og:description” content=”Awesome blog Description”/>

<meta property=”og:image” content=”http://domain.com/some-thumbnail.jpg”/>

When these 3 tags are added & if a user share this page in FB, the fb will automatically pull the title as "Awesome blog" & description for the link as "Awesome blog Description" and images which is mentioned in the path.

These tags will help us to optimize(control the length) the title, description & image as per the social media in which these are shared. Finally getting high CTR.

The more times the page is shared the more the backlink we get & finally increase in PR. Thanks!
