This is a great background on SCHEMA, its use, the developers and why it will be important down the road to improve the overall search for websites:

Ran into this article that was recently posted to YouMoz regarding rich snippets: http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/getting-the-m ... croformats

Looking into rich snippets again recently I was surprised to see how frequently results show up with it on google.com. Still either not supported or not commonly used in google.ca results though.

Here is yet another good article about Rich Snippets. Seems Google is really making a push to have sites add snippets... but also to add them smartly. This requires some valuable thought.

Yeah, I'd like to approach this by doing some detailed research into which verticals rich snippets are most prevalent in and develop best practice guidelines. We certainly don't want to waste time implementing rich snippets incorrectly or aspects that just aren't supported yet.

Oh, and Ryan should be interested in this stuff - I was noticing in U.S. SERPs that rich snippets are showing up for some AdWords results! In the space of and AdWords ad it really makes them stand out. (Mostly just stars and review counts form what I recall)
